Hey loves, welcome to today’s post, I’d be talking about investing in yourself. The same way you can invest your money to yield profits, you can also invest in yourself to be a better version of yourself. You investing in yourself is you investing in your future. Whatever you do to invest in yourself, trust me, you’d reap the benefits.

Most people are home especially during this Corona period and we have a lot of free time. I know not everyone wants to be at home or enjoys it but it’s for our safety so instead of you just sleeping and eating all day which I’m sure you do more than just that, you can choose to invest in yourself and your future.
There are various ways you can invest in yourself, since no one is perfect I’m sure we have one or two things we’d like to work on on ourselves. It could be on your attitude, your weight, your skin, your health, your finances, career, academics, and so on.
Figure out the aspect of your life you want to improve
If for instance you want to invest in your appearance, you could start a daily skincare routine, proper hygiene products, your outfits and anything that will make your appearance better.
The types of self investment
There is the physical investment and the internal investment. The physical investment is the one that everyone around you instantly knows you’ve done. Take for instance you choose to invest in your health and your weight.Everyone around you is going to see the result of that on your appearance and then there is the internal investment.
There are various ways you can invest in yourself internally. You can feed your mind, spirit and soul with proper foods such as good books, motivational and inspirational quotes and videos, working on your bad attitude and all. This is very personal because no one can see this but you can feel it. Believe me it’s a good investment because it trains your mind and nourishes it.
Ways you can invest in yourself
Save for later
Learn a skill
You can also invest in yourself by learning a skill. Everyone has one thing they are skilled at, I’m sure you have one too. This period, choose to become better at it and if you don’t have any you can learn a skill, learn as much as you can handle. Investing yourself in a skill would bring about profits for you surely. You can even make a side hustle from it. No knowledge is a waste, you can learn as much as you want and also devise means of making income from this skill.
Read books
You can also invest in good books, nothing beats a good book. It not only educates you, you’re also having fun reading the book. Check out books on self development, improving your finances, books that you will read and learn something from.
Improve a skill
You can also invest in your career to build it further. Attend conferences and seminars, take online courses in a field you’d like to specialize in. Have mentors and coaches, people that can check you and push you to be your best.
Learn something new, discover new hobbies and just have fun. Investing in yourself is investing in your future. It’s all for the best.
Love yourself
Love and take care of yourself, you deserve it. Never stop learning. Take care of your mental, physical and emotional well-being. Love everything about yourself.
Watch and listen
Watch and listen to inspiring podcasts and YouTube videos that you can learn a lot from. I’ve not really started listening to podcasts yet but for YouTube I can recommend a few. Check out lavendaire, Breeny Lee and Isabella Palacois. There are a lot of motivational and inspirational videos as well that will inspire you to do better and be better.
Start a side hustle
What’s a better way for you to invest in yourself than starting a side hustle that will actually yield you profit. Start that business that you want to, sell that book or course. Whatever side hustle that you want to start, do it.
Remember to invest in yourself because you are your greatest asset, there is no greater investment than the one you make in building yourself and your future. Invest in things that would add value to you. Invest in books, invest your money, invest in knowledge. Build yourself like you’d build your asset. Invest in things that will make you happy. All in all, invest in things that would make you grow and become a better person. Invest in yourself by doing things that will help you become the best version of you and look at various aspects of your life you want to improve in.

Hey
I think it’s sad how little time and effort most people spend on themselves. Beautiful post.
Thanks. Most times people are too occupied with work and other things that they put themselves last
I really enjoyed reading this. Investing in myself is definitely something that I’m not great at and then get frustrated when it feels like I’m staying still. But this is really inspiring and a reminder that things aren’t going to change unless I make the effort. Thanks for sharing.
