Hey loves, how are you doing? It’s almost new year, have you had your plans for the new year made? On today’s post we’ll be going through planners, what they are used for and why they are important. So keep reading to find out the key benefits of using a planner.
What are planners?
A planner is a chart for recording future appointments, tasks and goals. It is used for keeping notations of appointments. A planner can be a paper planner (notebook) or digital planner depending on your preference and you can have a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly planner.
Why is it important to use a planner?
A planner has various uses depending on what you want to use it to do. You can use it to plan your day, week, month and year and doing this helps you achieve the plans you set once you know what you want to do, how you want to do them, where you want to do them and when you need to get them done.
8 Reasons Why You Should Use A Planner and What You Benefit
1. It helps you keep track of all your tasks
Using a planner is very important to keep track of all your tasks. It is one way to store all your appointments and tasks for the day, week or month all in one place. When you keep track of the things you need to do you are most likely to do them. I can testify to this because on most days that I don’t write my to do list for the day I usually just end up scrolling through social media, spending time doing what I shouldn’t be doing.
2. It helps you stay organized
Having a planner helps you stay organized. You are able to list out all the things you need to get done, when you need to get them done and how you need to get them done and doing this helps you stay organized because you are able to stay on track and have everything in order.
3. It increases your productivity
Like I mentioned earlier, having a planner and writing out my tasks helps me get tasks done and stay productive. You’re more likely to get something done when you know you need to get it done, write it down and allocate the time for it if not you’ll most likely procrastinate and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to do that.
4. It helps you know what you need to get done
By using a planner, you are able to keep track of your appointments and schedule them along with their deadline. Using a planner helps you know what you need to get done especially when an event comes up beforehand and you get to record when it needs to be done.
5. It reminds you of what you need to get done
I know how many times I forget what I want to do and only remember them just because I have it written down somewhere. You are most likely not going to forget a task when you have a planner to remind you and if you forget about it you can easily go back to it for reference.
6. It helps you focus on important tasks
When using a planner or just writing down your tasks you can focus on what is important and prioritize your tasks so you can do what needs to be done first and fast.
7. It helps you manage your time
Knowing what needs to be done when it needs to be done helps you manage your time and planning out the things you want to do in your day helps you manage your time, focus on important tasks and stay organized.
8. It lowers stress and rush to do things
Having a planner reduces your stress and anxiety to get things done. When you have a deadline and you write it down in your planner you will most likely work towards getting it done beforehand but if you don’t have one and don’t write it down you might not even remember the day of the week much less of the day of deadline and when you do you’ll begin to rush to get things done and put yourself under unnecessary stress and you wouldn’t want that so it’s better to plan ahead and save your time.
9. It holds you accountable
Having a planner holds you accountable to your daily goals and gives you a sense of accomplishment when you get your daily tasks done. I feel really productive and happy when I set out daily tasks and get them done and I get to look back at the things I’ve done and what I need to do and it helps me stay productive and organized as well.
