Hey loves, it’s a new year and I know you want to start on a clean slate and put everything in order and keep your life and environment organized that’s why I’ll be sharing tips on how to stay organized and productive and simple habits you can build to help you stay organized. Organize and reset your life in 2022 with these steps.
12 Things To Do Daily To Be More Organized
1. Write things down
Having a to do list or checklist of what you want to do in a day is a good way to plan and organize your day and how you want it to turn out. By doing this you’ll be setting the tone for maximum productivity.
2. Make it visible
You want to put your to-do list where you can see it. You can write it on a sticky note and place it around you so you don’t forget what you need to get done.
3. Keep a planner
Planners are extremely important in helping you stay productive. It helps you know what to get done, when to get it done and helps you keep track of your tasks. 4. Prioritize appropriately
Prioritize your tasks daily from the most important to the least important. Which task will you complete that will leave you feeling fulfilled throughout the day?
5. Do the hard things first
Do the things that will take you time first or the things you know you’ve been avoiding or most likely to avoid. Chances are if you do this it’s going to be way easier to do the simple tasks and you’ll get it done in no time.
6. Manage your time efficiently
Do the things that needs to be done when they need to be done. Manage and spend your time wisely. Schedule time for a break, break down your schedule and put on the time you want to spend doing them.
7. Cut unnecessary distractions
I know how easy it is to be distracted. One minute you are working hard on something and you just decide to check your phone to cross check something or so and the next thing you know you are scrolling on instagram laughing to funny memes and liking your favourite content creator’s post. One thing I like doing is keeping my phone out of reach when I want to get work done and it helps me focus without distractions and also putting the phone on silent or airplane mode to avoid distractions. Whatsoever is your source of distraction, take it away from you while you want to work so that you can focus on what you want to do well.
8. Make schedules and deadlines
Having schedules and setting out deadlines will save you from a lot of stress. You don’t want to be that person that rushes to get a task done because it wasn’t in your schedule or you forgot to write out the deadline so you’re hurrying to get it done two hours before the deadline. Set out your schedules and deadlines it helps you stay on track.
9. Plan ahead
One thing I recommend is planning ahead. If you’re going to get something done tomorrow set it out tomorrow. What will you like to do , what do you have to do, what do you want to wear or eat? Planning this ahead will help you curb the problem of indecisiveness and give a great start to your day.
10. Clear your space
Keeping a tidy environment is another way to stay organized. You don’t want to be that person that has a lot of junk laying around. Keep your space clean. Clean your space immediately after doing a task. You can cook and clean, you can also put everything in place when you are done using them. Avoid creating a mess and clean it up when done. Having a clean space will even enhance your productivity and your mind so be sure to keep your space clean.
11. Declutter regularly
Declutter regularly. If you are not making use of something you might as well keep it out and if it has no use to you again then you can let it go. Declutter your space, your wardrobe and everything that needs to be decluttered. You can also declutter your digital space as well. Remove apps that you no longer use, clear out your emails, reply your dms, unfollow accounts you no longer like or do whatever digital decluttering looks like to you.
12. Review your to do list
Reflect on what you’ve achieved, what you still need to get done, how long it took you to get it done, the distractions and obstacles you faced. Reflect on them all and review it for ways you an do better.
